So, I Made a Tea Brand.

I had an idea.

Technically, I’d had the idea for years.

It sat on a vision board. It lived in my head. It occasionally popped up to remind me that I still hadn’t done anything with it.

You know how ideas do when they’ve decided they’re not going anywhere.

Eventually, I stopped thinking about it and started building it.

So… I made a tea brand.

Her name is Sipsy.

And yes, her.

Why tea?

Tea and I go way back.

Before I knew anything about loose leaves, steeping temperatures, origins or tasting notes, tea was simply something familiar.

Something you made.

Something you sat with.

Something that could make an ordinary moment feel like you were doing a little something for yourself.

Then I got curious.

And curiosity is dangerous around here.

Because once I want to know about something, I want to know everything.

What’s in it?

Where did it come from?

Why does this one taste completely different from that one?

Why have I been drinking this when THAT exists?

One question turns into twelve tabs open on my computer and suddenly I’ve developed opinions nobody asked for.

That’s pretty much how we got here.

I don’t want Sipsy to feel too serious.

Good tea can be beautiful without acting precious about it.

I want to play with flavor.

I want combinations that make you read the label twice.

I want favorites you’ll reorder and experiments you buy because you need to know what the hell I was thinking.

Maybe you’ll love everything.

Probably not.

That’s okay.

I’m still figuring out exactly what Sipsy is going to become, too.

And I think I’m okay with letting that happen.

Right now, I’m building.

The website.

The blends.

The packaging.

The million tiny things nobody tells you exist between “I have an idea” and “you can buy it now.”

Some days I feel like I’ve got it.

Other days I change something I was absolutely certain about 24 hours earlier.

Entrepreneurship. 😂

But the idea that sat around waiting for me isn’t just an idea anymore.

That’s worth writing down.

So consider this a little timestamp.
